Subscriptions Explained
Karri uses a collection payment model that allows for “on-behalf-of” payments. People not in the organization can be copied on collections and can choose to pay for the collection. This allows members to pay for themselves or where necessary pass on obligation to another user.
In organizations like schools where the members are typically not able to make payments for collections, the organization is setup to automatically associate their parents/guardians as their subscribers so they can pay for their collections on behalf of the member.
In organizations where members typically do pay for their own collections, it is easy for a member to pass on their Karri code to a guardian/parent/sponsor to subscribe to their collections.
